NAPPAP opens New Shop at Etsy

The NAPPAP Professionals are venturing out into the new horizons of the future of fine art marketing. Collective markets of handmade items on Etsy is one of the largest online marketers of everything handmade from fine art to fine jewlery to handbound books. Known for the high quality of its members work which has been sought out by designers such as Dior and major mainstream publications such as and Family Circle. NAPPAP always at the forefront, is bring its quality professionalism to this market place. Combining high end art with the future of online markets. Etsy had over $ 22 million in sales last month in a down economy in a non-sales month. One has to wonder for the handmade and exclusive markets of custom work if Etsy isn't making its mark on the best of both world. The future may be the come back of the small shop, from people who work around the world in non-traditional custom work, is paving the way to a recovery of the markets and at the same time showing the way back to our roots in a eco friendly manner. How could a buyer go wrong!

The National Academy of Professional Plein Air Painters announces its 2009 Natural World Observed exhibition and sale hosted by Tweed Museum, Duluth, Minnesota. The Natural World Observed opens with a gala weekend of events on October 9th-11th, 2009, and remains on view through December 20th, 2010.

Debra Groesser's painting, "Laguna Cliffs II", was awarded an Judge's Honorable Mention for Artistic Excellence in the Salon International 2009 Juried Exhibition, at the Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, Texas. NAPPAP member Jill Carver also won an honorable mention for her painting, "Barn Huddle." Other members juried into the exhibit are Kaye Franklin, Greg LaRock and Jeanne Mackenzie. There will be an online broadcast of the film originally broadcast at the Smithsonian Museum of Art and new film clips Sunday March 8th. You'll need to sign up for a pass to the online viewing theatre. by going to the technoart2009 blog linked below and register. We'll be posting information to our Newsletter, Linked In, NAPPAP, and Facebook Pages... I'm going to be adding sections to the film based on comments from viewers so your input is important... It will be in Windows Media, and hopefully Flash video so that you can pick which version you want to view.

Debra Groesser’s painting, “Cliff Shadows”, was accepted into the 9th Annual American Impressionist Society National Juried Exhibition. NAPPAP member Grace Schlesier also has a painting accepted into the exhibit. The exhibit will be held from November 22nd through December 22nd at the Coda Gallery in Palm Desert, California. The opening reception will be held on November 22nd from 5 to 7pm at the gallery.
