Art Gala at the Corcoran Gallery of Art

As part of the May 19th Inspired Art Gala, Deborah Chapin is participating with her work "Delicate Balance". Works of art will be exhibited at the Corcoran Gallery Of Art. The sales go You are supporting a local nonprofit that helps benefit the lives of children and youth. The Inspired Art Gala will take place on May 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Each child will create a poem to go with the work of art that they pick. The Inspired Art silent auction will feature works of art created by local and national artists inspired by the poetry of DC SCORES poet-athletes. The evening will also showcase the talents of DC SCORES youth and area professionals through spoken word performances. More than 200 guests are expected to attend the Inspired Art Gala in support of DC SCORES' unique focus on creative expression and poetry for students across the District.

California Dreamin'" Solo Exhibition

Please join us for "California Dreamin'", the first major solo exhibition of paintings by Debra Joy Groesser. Approximately 30 new and recent works will be displayed. Opening reception will be Friday, May 14th, from 7 to 9pm at Mountainsong Galleries in Carmel, California. Be sure to check out the Show Preview article in the June issue of American Art Collector Magazine, which hits newsstands in mid-May.

Debra Groesser will have a solo exhibition opening at Mountainsong Galleries in Carmel CA next Fri 5/14 7 to 9pm. Show runs through June 13th. Also Larry, Mike and I are in the Carmel Art Festival May 13 to 16th. Greg LaRock and Ned Mueller were in the OPA National Juried Exhibition. I will be in the Door County Plein Air Festival July 19 to 26 in Door County Wisconsin. I will have three paintings in the Plein Air Artists Colorado Juried Members Exhibition June 25 to July 10 at Saks Galleries in Denver. Opening reception June 25th.

David Lussier

David Lussier did a demo tonight in Canton MA. He has an opening tomorrow for a solo show 5-8pm At Harbor Fine Art in Newport Rhode Island. He is doing the Wayne PA plein air Paint Out. Then after driving to Ohio and back for his son's college graduation he will be doing the Kennebunkport Maine Invitational Paint Out at Maine Art Gallery and at the same time he will be having a solo show at Northlight Gallery just across town in Kennebunkport. (This is all the first week in June) Then the next week he is in the Cranford New Jersey Invitational. May have to send him to Maine to paint for a show at Argosy Gallery in Bar Harbor about then. (that show is in August) Then we have a workshop on Cape Cod the end of June.
