Exhibition Opens at the Greenhouse Gallery in San Antonio, Texas, on April 10th at 10AM with a "Meet the Artists" Reception from 5 - 8PM that evening.

~ Invited Speaker - - Jeanne has been invited to be a featured speaker at the Artist Development Seminar, March 6, 2010 in Cheyenne, WY. It is sponsoring by the Old West Museum in conjunction with the Western Spirit Art Show.
~ Invited Artist- Grand Canyon Plein Air Sept. 11- Sept 18, 2010 The Grand Canyon Association is pleased to announce the Grand Canyon Celebration of Art on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. This event features thirty artists in the Plein Air on the Rim competition and show. The proceeds from this event will be dedicated toward the goal of funding an art museum on the South Rim that will preserve and showcase the spectacular collection of historic and contemporary paintings owned by Grand Canyon National Park and the Grand Canyon Association, creating a permanent art venue at the South Rim and will help to ensure that future generations of Park visitors will be able to experience Grand Canyon art at its finest.
~ Show Invitation Salon International Invitational – April 9, 2010..Greenhouse Gallery, San Antonio, TX. This years juror will be Everett Raymond Kinstler. Last year received a Jurors Award from Daniel Greene.

New Triptych Piece
I just wanted to let everyone know how my first large Triptych painting, consisting of three 30x30 canvases, turned out. Terrific in my opinion and I hope yours.
This painting depicts one of my favorite painting places on earth in Garrapata State Park along Highway One on the California coast between Carmel and Big Sur. The title is "Garrapata View", I know really original!

Deborah Chapin to Speak at EPA
Deborah Chapin will be giving a talk and video presentation about the Role of Art at the EPA downtown DC. I'll be presenting some of the film footage that I've taken over the 7 years that I've been doing my wetland series on the Chesapeake. I will be discussing how artists have participated and continue to participate in making the public aware of environmental issues and discussing the future role of the arts within the environmental movement. Topic will be presented before the leaders of the EPA, academic and scientific communities in Washington DC. Specifics will be forthcoming soon. I'm hoping to have it taped for those who would like to see it online after the event. If you have any issues which you would like to have me bring up within my talk or contributions which you would like for me to include email me with a subject line of Suggestions for the EPA.
